IGNOU M.Com – Here you will find all information regarding IGNOU M.Com. The main objective of IGNOU MCom is to equip the students with necessary conceptual, entrepreneurial and analytical skills required for handling the Business Operations, particularly in International Business. The curriculum focuses on the applied aspects of Business Operations.
In order to be eligible for the award of the Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree, a student has to complete the following 12 courses equivalent to 72 credits (1 credit is equal to 30 study hours) comprising of six core courses and six specialisation courses in International Business Operations.Core Courses (6 credits each)

To ensure flexibility, the modular system is introduced with the following two exit points:
Completion of six specialization courses (IBO – 1 to IBO – 6) qualifies the student for the award of PG Diploma in International Business Operations. This Diploma is a stand-alone Diploma and students can also take direct admission. If such students join M.Com. The program, later on, they have to complete the six core courses in order to take the M.Com degree.
Completion of six core courses and six specialization courses qualify the students for the award of Master of Commerce with specialization in International Business Operations.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Graduates in any discipline or equivalence from a recognised university are eligible for Admission to the M.Com. Program.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
This programme is offered in English and Hindi medium. Printed course materials and assignments are sent to the students in English. Audio lessons and counselling are also provided in English and Hindi. Students are expected to submit the assignments and attempt the term-end examinations in English and Hindi medium only.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
The program has been designed for a minimum duration of two years. A student once admitted, his/her registration is valid for five years. Thus, a student can complete this program within a minimum period of two years or a maximum period of five years. In case of failure to do so, the student will be required to re-register by paying the prescribed program fee.
Fee for the M.Com. Program (includes examination fee and registration fee) is Rs.4,900/- in the first year and Rs.4,800/- in the second year of study.
WHEN TO APPLY
The advertisement inviting applications for admission to this program is published in all leading newspapers in May/June every year. The last date to submit a filled application is normally 31st July.
